IMPORTANT: Please conduct all transactions on the Occasion Pros platform. This guarantees funds paid by clients as well as to protect clients and professionals.

Is there a monthly membership fee to use the Occasion Pros platform?
It is FREE to join and there is NO MONTHLY FEE to be on Occasion Pros. Occasion Pros only gets paid when you get paid. It’s a win-win situation!

How much does Occasion Pros charge if I get booked through the Occasion Pros platform?
Occasion Pros charges a flat fee of $100 if your total booking is $799 or less. For total bookings of $800 or more (up to a maximum of $3000), you will be charged 15% of the total booking.

Scenario 1:  If the total charge for the service is $700, Occasion Pros will deduct $100 from the total and pay the professional $600.

Scenario 2:  If the total charge for the service is $1200, Occasion Pros will deduct $180 (15%) from the total and pay you $1020.

Am I considered an Occasion Pros contractor/employee by using the Occasion Pros platform?
No, you are not a contractor or employee of Occasion Pros, but you will be receiving a 1099 at the end of the year. You will be responsible for reporting your earnings and filing your own taxes.

How and when do I get paid for services rendered?
Once Occasion Pros confirms that you have provided your service, Occasion Pros transfers funds to your account within 3-5 business days from the date of the event via PayPal.

How does Occasion Pros know how much I’m charging my clients? 
All booking totals are confirmed with your clients.

When does Occasion Pros collect the payments from my client?
All payments are collected from clients one month before their event date. If the final payment is not received within two weeks of the event date, Occasion Pros will notify you so that you can discuss the issue with your client.

Is it easy to use the Occasion Pros platform?
The Occasion Pros platform is simple to use. After you register, all you need to do is to complete your profile by adding pictures/videos, enter general information, update your calendar, and you’re ready to go! It’s that simple!

What happens after a client reserves me?
After a client pays the reservation fee, you will be notified by Occasion Pros by email. You can either accept or decline the email. If you accept, Occasion Pros will then forward the client’s contact information to you. It will then be your responsibility to contact the client to discuss their needs. If you decline, you do not need to do anything else.

How long do I have to decide whether to accept/decline the reservation?
If you have received a reservation email, a decision must be made within three business days or the opportunity will be presented to another professional.

What if the client does not contact me after I have left numerous messages?
Occasion Pros will contact the client as well and will keep you posted of the outcome.

What should I do if I can’t make it to an event?
If for some reason you are unable to make it to your event, call the client as soon as possible to let them know and to make arrangements.

What if I can’t make the event but have another professional who can perform the services for me?
In the event that you can’t make the event but have a colleague that can perform the services, you will need to contact your client as soon as possible to let them know.

What if I “no show” to an event? What happens if I don’t call my client?
In the event you do not show up to an event without calling your client, you will be banned and will no longer have access to the Occasion Pros platform.

What if the client gives me a tip? Does Occasion Pros get a portion of the tip?
Occasion Pros does not make extra off of your tips. You work hard so all tips are yours to keep. You deserve it!
